Remy, Homa, Tex and Aurelia recently represented our school at the Synergy Solar Car Challenge, working collaboratively to build a model solar-powered car before racing it against teams from other schools.
Due to cloudy conditions, the team needed to use battery power instead of solar energy, but they were well prepared and successfully adapted their design to support both options.
This challenge allowed students to apply STEM skills such as problem-solving, engineering and teamwork in a real-world setting, while demonstrating resilience, cooperation and enthusiasm throughout the day. Although our team did not progress to the finals, the students had a rewarding and enjoyable experience!
