A Message From Our Principal

Dear parents/carers

As we near the end of the term, we’re thrilled to share some highlights that showcase the remarkable progress our students are making, thanks to the hard work of our dedicated teachers and the continued support of our parent community. Our new literacy program in Pre-primary to Year 2 has made a significant difference, with students showing strong gains in reading and spelling skills. We’re also proud to celebrate the achievements of 11 students who recently received awards in the national maths competition—an impressive testament to their hard work and enthusiasm for learning. Thank you for partnering with us in creating an environment where every student can thrive.

Solar Panels Installation Complete
We’re excited to announce that our solar panel system is now fully operational! Thanks to the Schools Clean Energy Technology Fund, this initiative will enhance our school’s energy efficiency, reducing grid electricity usage by an estimated 27%. This is a fantastic step toward a more sustainable future for our school.

Introducing Program Kaartdijin
Next year, our school will begin Phase 1 of Program Kaartdijin, a new student information system that will replace the outdated SIS Classic. This secure, modern platform will streamline student data management and improve communication, helping us make informed decisions that support student welfare and learning. Staff will receive dedicated support to ensure a smooth transition, and we’ll keep you updated as we move through each stage.

Financial Audit Update
Following a recent audit, we’re pleased to report only two minor areas for improvement in purchasing and long service leave approval processes. We’re addressing these with enhanced training and new procedures to ensure continued compliance and efficiency. This proactive approach reflects our commitment to responsible financial management.
