Our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) has well and truly hit its stride in 2026! With almost 84% of students in Years 4, 5 and 6 participating, itβs great to see support from our families. Well done to the Year 4 student cohort for having a massive 93.3% of students taking up this program!
The program allows students to access apps and the internet throughout the school day to support their learning. It is popular with students as they continue to build their ICT skills and create amazing projects with the apps available.
Some of the fantastic things being created by students in the BYOD Program include:
Room 14:
- Health Presentations – students were required to work individually or in a small group to present a 3-minute oral presentation on Positive and Respectful Relationships in Health. Students selected Keynote or PowerPoint to create their presentation and were able to screen mirror it to the whiteboard to present it to their peers.

- Emails β students have been using their devices to access their student email addresses. They have been writing formal emails to a mock potential employer and applying for a special program in High School. They have also enjoyed writing emails to their friends. Students were able to: check and delete emails, create a properly formatted email, make an email signature and send an email with an attachment.

- Digital Technologies Infographics β students have been looking at why it is important to follow our school iPad rules. Students then created infographics to reflect this.

NO MORE BYOD SIGNUPS FOR 2026
Opportunities to join the program in 2026 have now closed. Students in Year 4 or 5 that are not participating in BYOD are able to sign up with their own iPad in 2027. Information will be available early next year with dates and what is needed to sign up.
Students in Years 4 and 5 who currently have a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) iPad will automatically continue on in the program next year. You donβt need to do anything! π
