The State Government’s Treebate program was announced in January 2025. The program will encourage Western Australians to plant native trees on their properties.
Help make your neighbourhood greener and get a cash rebate too. For the next four years, up to 10,000 Western Australians a year can claim a rebate on the purchase of native trees to plant in their backyards as part of the new Treebate initiative.
Western Australians who purchase a native tree from a local nursery can make a claim of up to $150 via the ServiceWA app.
It’s as easy as One, Two, Tree.
One: Buy a tree. Two: Plant the tree. Tree: Make a claim via ServiceWA.
And don’t forget you’ll need to keep your tax invoice and a photo of the plant label to get your rebate.
The State Government is committed to strengthening WA’s urban canopy for the future, with Treebate opening from 28 July 2025.
