Kings Park Excursion Rms 8, 9 and 10

Last week, students from Rooms 8, 9 and 10 visited Kings Park on an excursion. We explored the Naturescape area and took part in a Playground Innovators workshop where we analysed the different types of playgrounds in Naturescape and Poolgarla play area. The Kings Park education officers spoke to us about the different purposes of the playgrounds and the materials chosen to build them.

Some of the highlights of the day included:

My favourite part has to be the creek. At Paperbark Creek our group made a dam out of rocks. – Harlen

My favourite part was the Poolgarla Playground, it was a perfect day. – Jethro

My favourite part was when I saw some fish in the Kooyar Kep wetland. – Jake

When we got assigned our play area my group got Paperbark Creek and Waterhole, I was really happy because we spent a lot of time there. – Mia

A big thankyou to all the parent helpers who attended our excursion.
